Originally opened in 1937, Camp Arrowhead is a community in which boys will learn to see with their hearts, create with their hands, and live together in a spirit of brotherhood through our core values of Self-Reliance, Leadership, Outdoor Adventure, Self-Expression Camp Arrowhead is an All-boys camp for rising 1st-10th graders. Camp Arrowhead teaches boys the skills needed to contribute to the world as a leader. At Camp Arrowhead, boys learn to use their skills, knowledge, and resources to accomplish their goals rather than depending on others to carry them through. Fostering a boy’s confidence in his ability to succeed is paramount to him becoming independent.
Located in the Mountains of Western North Carolina for 102 years, we emphasize outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and horseback riding. We believe in fun, adventure, safety, and great instruction. Our program is non-competitive, which encourages experimentation, and non-regimented, which fosters self-direction. Our strengths lie in the quality of our staff and the depth of our program. We value diversity, attracting campers from all 50 states and several other countries.
Founded in 1969, by Jim Miller as an independent Christian camp for boys. Jim opened for the first season the following summer with 110 boys for one 7-week session. A few decades and owners later in 2005, Yates and Marisa Pharr, purchased camp and moved there with their young children from Asheville. Having spent 12 years as a camper and then counselor, this brought him back to Falling Creek to create more incredible memories. The Camp is situated on 890 private mountaintop acres near Tuxedo, North Carolina. Summer Camp Sessions range from 1-week to 4-weeks, for boys in grades 1 to 10. We offer Spring Father/Son Weekends for boys in grades K to 10 and their fathers, as well as Family Retreats.
