Celebrate Land Trust Day with Native Wildflower Seeds at Mast General Store

Description

On Land Trust Day, Saturday, June 6, Mast General Store Hendersonville will donate 20% of the day’s sales to Conserving Carolina. Conserving Carolina will be onsite from 10am-2pm, hosting a wildflower seed packet station!

Conserving Carolina protects 51,000 acres in Western North Carolina – from the waterfalls of DuPont State Recreational Forest to the rock cliffs of Hickory Nut Gorge. Conserving Carolina’s work has created new greenways, parks, and trails while restoring woods, meadows, and wetlands. The group also engages residents of the area through hikes, outings, field trips, speaker series, and native plant gardening workshops.

Land trusts are non-profit organizations that preserve the health and heritage of our natural spaces. Also known as conservancies, land trusts may work with landowners to safeguard family farms, create accessible public parks, protect wetlands and wildlife habitats, or provide recreational opportunities everyone can enjoy.

Join us at the Hendersonville Mast Store to learn how your local land trust enhances some of Western North Carolina’s most breathtaking scenic areas and support its vital work. You can also help its cause by dropping in June 1 – 7 and choosing to RoundUP your purchase to the next whole dollar.

We look forward to seeing you on Land Trust Day, and thank you for loving the land we all share!
